Margherita Missoni Got Married!

Fashion royalty Margherita Missoni got married over the weekend in a bohemian-inspired wedding. Instead of keeping it in the family, she wore Giambattista Valli. I think her dress is stunning the entire ensemble, with the headpiece, veil, and gladiator heels worked perfectly together. What do you think?

Prada Menswear Fall/Winter 2012

Prada's new menswear collection is definitely one of the highlights of this season. Inspired by the "Steampunk" genre (mixture of alternative history, science fiction, and fantasy), the campaign features actors including Willem Dafoe, Gary Oldman, Jamie Bell, and Garrett Hedlund. So chic and surreal!

Style Icon: Anna Dello Russo

Anna Dello Russo is the director-at-large for Vogue Japan and is known for her eccentric style and personality. I really admire her for her bold fashion choice (although I don't think I agree with her views about fashion). She really is the definition of fashionista though!

Style Icon: Daphne Guinness

I think my biggest fashion crush would have to be Daphne Guinness. She's always wearing something that's either one of a kind or couture - can't really beat that. I love that she's original, but now in the solely shock provoking way that Lady Gaga is. Having come out with her own collection, she really is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. I'm always excited by what's she's wearing. Here's some of the stuff she's been wearing as of late.

Skincare Routine - Morning/Night

Here's what I've been using in the past few months when it comes to skincare. I have normal/combination skin and find that these products definitely does the job right. 

MORNING

I try to keep it simple in the morning with just a moisturiser and eye cream after washing my face with cold water. If you have normal skin, there really is no need to use face wash in the morning, as it can be too harsh. Sometimes I use a toner if I have time. 

EVENING

I first use the Shu Uemura cleaning oil on a cotton pad, focusing on the eye area if I'm wearing eye makeup that day. You can also use it wet but I find it more effective when used dry. The AquaMoist (Japanese drugstore brand) face wash is supposed to have brightening properties, although I didn't see any results. But it does foam up very nicely and isn't too drying. The toner has a gel-like formula and is quite hydrating - I like to pat it into the skin and I usually apply it twice.

The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair series is an oldie but goodie. I think it's a really good staple skincare system and is best for people who are not in need of skincare targeted mainly at anti-ageing just yet. Also, refer to my beauty tips and tricks :)
